September 23, 2008: News, Photos and a Video!

+ As you've heard, Nic & Tristan did not make the Top 6 for the Sports Kids of the Year contest, they made a video that Youtube was going to promote! Even though they aren't going to use it, you should definitely see it! Please do not post the Sports Illustrated video or the other ones on Youtube or any similar sites. It was strictly for the contest. Thank you in advance for your cooperation! This is Nic & Tristan's comedy at it's finest! They will make you laugh so hard! What are you waiting for? + The movie website, Nicandtristanthemovie.com has been updated! There are two brand new videos. One is a teaser, which is just another type of trailer but it's different than the other one as it shows actual clips from the movie in it! The other one is a behind the scenes video called Superstars in which Nic & Tristan act as very demanding kids on set! It's SO funny as it's the complete opposite of how they act on set! My favorite line? "Get me my juice box!" Don't miss those new videos! If you'd like to know right away after the website has been updated, sign up under "Get Updates" and you'll receive an email after it's updated!

+ As promised, I have some more new photos! I added some more behind the scenes photos of Nic & Tristan the Movie, as well as some awesome ones of Nic & Tristan skateboarding together and a brand new headshot...

+ In other news, Nic & Tristan are going to have a great winter! They've just joined a basketball team and that will be starting in November. Nic & Tristan also joined a soccer team mid-season and will play their first game on Saturday. Good luck guys!

September 22, 2008: Bad News!

+ Unforutunately Nic & Tristan did not get into the Top 6 for the Sports Kids of the Year contest and therefore did not make it to the next round, but Nic & Tristan want to thank all of you for the amount of voting you did! I know a lot of you are not too thrilled but we have to look on the bright side, maybe not winning this contest will open doors for something else! September 15, 2008: Vote for Sports Kids of the Year!

+ How would you like to see Nic & Tristan on the cover of the December 2008 issue of Sports Illustrated for Kids? Well, Nic & Tristan were chosen in the top 10 finalists for the contest! If you would like to see them on the cover and be named the Sports Kids of the Year, please go and vote for Nic & Tristan! You click on the little circle beside their names and it should turn up green, then go to the bottom and click "Submit your Vote". If they get enough votes they can get into the Top 6! I think they put a lot of effort into skateboarding and the community. I think it would be just awesome to see them on the cover! Thank you in advance for voting, you have until September 22!

+ The producer of a new show on MTV called MTV's Best Show Ever asked if Nic & Tristan's videos could be submitted for the contest/show! If you'd like to vote for any of Nic & Tristan's skateboarding videos, just go to www.mtvbestshowever.com, register and click the five stars! Their Take 1, Take 2 and Take 3 videos are all up in the "New Videos" section. There are a lot of videos there and the best way to find Nic & Tristan's is by searching "Skateboarding" in the search box. Thank you in advance for voting!

September 4, 2008: Puehse Central's 2nd Birthday!

+ Today, September 4, 2008, is Puehse Central's 2nd Birthday! I've had such an awesome experience with this site. Nic & Tristan are so lucky to have amazing fans like all of you. Thank YOU for visiting the site and supporting the boys. I'd also like to thank their Dad, Michael (as well as the rest of the family) for all of his support over the last 2 years. I look forward to many more birthdays for Puehse Central! Please come and join our celebrations on the forum!

+ Nic and Tristan have been working hard but having fun with the editing of Nic & Tristan the movie! Last weekend, they were able to watch a rough cut of the movie, which had no music and was not completely finished. I’ve been told it looks really good so far!

+ The company wants to get all of the visual part done in early September and then move on to the audio parts. Tristan & Nic will be heading back to Los Angeles to do some looping which means they will be in a recording studio patching up any parts that are not loud enough or clear enough, etc. Did you know that editing takes about 4 times longer than the shooting? I’m getting super excited to see Nic & Tristan’s movie!

+ Nic & Tristan’s Youtube channel, Groms, has now become a partner with Youtube! Youtube will be featured their Take 3 video tomorrow (Sunday) in the sports section!

+ Thank to you Hannah for pointing out a Metro Station blog from April 11, 2008 where they mentioned filming Nic & Tristan the Movie. To read the whole blog, click here. This is what Metro Station wrote about the boys…

The next morning, we woke up at 7 am to shoot a movie in Glendale. For most of the band, 9 am is unimaginably early. Getting up at 7 the morning after a festival was pretty crazy, but totally worth it. The movie is about two young skateboarding twins named Nic and Tristan. It felt just like shooting a music video, except there were a couple kids on skateboards getting into trouble onscreen. The kids are hilarious and really good at skating.

+ Also in regards to celebrities talking about the film, Ariel Winter who plays Lisa in the film, mentioned her role in an interview she did with portrait magazine. Click here to read the whole interview. When asked about her upcoming projects Ariel said...

"I also have two other films coming out this year. “Opposite Day” and “Nic and Tristan”. In “Opposite Day” I play one of the leads Carla Benson an adorable, goody two shoes. In “Nic and Tristan” I play Lisa the gadget obsessed tomboy. Both movies are super Kool with a capital “K”. "

+ Just an update about Nickelodeon, all of the meetings and discussions are going great! We may be hearing about something in the near future.
